During a union inspection of the Sheraton Waikiki on April 2, 2021, inspectors observed full trash bags, and stained microwaves and used plastic ware in the hotel guest floor.  The union and its hotel workers have been fighting for a safe return to work as Hawaii tourism numbers rebound from the COVID pandemic.
